Dover!

Last Friday my dad didn’t have to work. Here in the UK it was a four day weekend, so we decided to travel to Dover. We left our house around 8:30 a.m. and got to Dover around lunch time. We got some sandwiches at a small grocery store for lunch. After we ate we went to the walk along the white cliffs of Dover! It was awesome! We took the 3 mile walk along them. It was a pretty clear day and we could see France from the cliffs! There were a bunch of ferries going to France from the port that was right next to the cliffs. We walked to the light house and took a tour. It was sweet! I had never taken a light house tour before! After we had done that we went back to the car and checked into our hotel. It was nice! For dinner that night we went to a pub called The Archer. It was really good!


The next morning we went to McDonalds for breakfast! Here in England the McDonalds have a huge selection of breakfast food! They even have blue berry muffins! J We went to Dover castle on Saturday. It is the biggest castle in England. It was very cool! There were underground tunnels where there used to be hospitals. It was all very top secret. They were built during the Second World War. Once we had seen the entire castle we headed home. On the way we went to Mr. Bingleys house! I saw some of the places from the movie!! By the way if you haven’t seen Pride and Prejudice then you will just think it looks like a cool house! Unfortunately you were not allowed to take pictures inside but I got some of the outside.
